RMO Summary

RMO is about to enter its fourth year of providing a truly unique wilderness mentoring program for at risk youth in the Central Fl community. Our staff of trained survival instructors use our wilderness survival skills program as a backdrop for teaching anger management, problem solving skills, team dynamics, and positive communication skills.

We reinforce fundamental character assets needed to help our students avoid the pitfalls of urban America.

We have a 80+ acre training center and equipment for 70+ campers.

Teaching Objectives

Youth are more apt to accept and remember what they discover for themselves.

Youth are more interested in information that they ask for than information that is freely given.

Our Training Objectives:

  • Help youth to understand for themselves
  • Help youth to apply information learned
  • Overall we must teach youth to thing for themselves
